Though, in all honesty, I would probably burst a seam laughing if I heard his voice in an anime. I love Conan.

Honestly, this kind of thing doesn't really bother me. It's not integral to the movie, and Disney treats the movie itself with only the highest respect. Not to mention, the only point of the new song is to draw in the Miley Cyrus/Jo Bros audience, and if this means a greater awareness of Miyazaki movies (and anime in general), I'm happy. After all, these movies are, at there core, supposed to be entertainment for kids.

I was horrified by this when I saw it over the weekend. It doesn't fit with the rest of the score, and it sounds like some execs or artists were determined to put their own stamp on the film, even at the cost of the quality of the film.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that found this Disney spooge of a remix appalling. I'm not anime elitist or anything I watch my anime in English with terrible translations and all but this is just a horrible abortion of a song. It is the very epitome of what's wrong with popular music in America.

It's Disney. While I'm not a fan of Miyazaki's works, I can totally agree with you that they've mishandled just about every Ghibli property that they've managed to get their hands on.

Agreed, Eva and Cowboy Bebop are actually pretty decent dubs. In fact I really enjoy the voice for Asuka and rei in Eva. I mean, Shinji is still a big tool. But I died a little on the inside from the Claymore, Geass dubs especially Bleach and Gurren Lagann

Just finished with episode 7 which was the same as episode 6 which was the same as episode 5 which was the same as episode 4 which was the same as episode 3, screw this anime, seriously I hope it dies a horrible and painful death.

By the way loved episodes 1, 2 and 3 but this anime has claimed enough of my time, I'll just watch the last episode since it doesn't seem to be on track to end until the final episode of the season at this rate.

Heh yeah well So far Ep 2-6+ covers the exact same two week period in 4 individual instances over a total of 15,521 times overall... I so feel for Yuki-chan... The OP I like, the ending not so much just not Hare Hare Yukai but it goes with this amazingly boring season.

I actually believed the Code Geass one was continued like that so we can go 'Wait, what?' It wasn't rebooting the series it realy was a major plot point in that his memory was erased.

Now onto the issue. I myself love Haruhi Suzumiya its a great anime to be sure. However, it goes for a total of five episodes for this one plot point maybe even more. I can understand the first two and maybe even the third. The first is for people to go "Alright this is kinda nice." the second is for them to go "Huh? What?' then we found out about the loop. Then they show pretty much the last episode with hardly any changes with the only being we see a little on how Nagato reacts. Then I looked up a raw of 5' that looks the exact same as the others. I can understand why to an extent. It might be very important or they want us to sympathize with Nagato but when you play the same episode four times in a row its a major kick to the fans. Here to hoping it gets settled soon before Haruhi Suzumiya earns too bad of a rep.
