Someone also said the same thing to me. And we have the same view when looking at Anime. i always look at the content and ignore the aesthetics first, and see if its worth the time.

New Ippo looks good.
Ride Back looks good.
White Album looks like a really cool title/idea was wasted on a run of the mill harem anime. I thought it was going to be a kickass Beatles anime for a second. Nope.
With good gritty Sci-Fi anime being rare, Regios might be worth a looksee.
I might check out NuSlayers. I'm a bigger fan of 70s and 80s anime than I am of 90s, so it's not really warming up to me on the nostalgia ticket. However, there's enough buzz about it that I'll give it a shot someday.

Funny how looking for a job and blogging/networking has really kiboshed my sit down and watch anime time... I haven't even started watching anything from the summer/fall season. =D Hoo boy.

Thanks for the link :) I'm definitely looking forward to the new Slayers season. There's been a LOT of buzz on message boards where people talk about whether the new story is going to be typical, reasonably light Slayers fare, or if it's going to turn rather dark. Either way, I want to see!

I am quite surprised that they are making a sequel to the first Dynasty Warriors Gundam. As I can remember, it didn't do fantastic at release, although, I don't think it failed either. I remember playing the demo for the first one. It was fun, but EXACTLY like all other Dynasty Warriors games. But that is what the game is supposed to be huh? It seems obvious that they created both Gundam 1 and 2 to please fans of the anime. I just hope they add some more content and features, instead of just new areas and the like.

the haruhi dancer didn't organize the dance group, i did. the hiei cosplayer. i enlisted her for my show only because she can have the others follow her move if they didn't know the hare hare yukai. watch my show "Re-Anime" and you'll see us and me planning the event.

Yeah what you missed and aren't aware of are the companies making deals in the backroom. I know because I work for the third largest distributor of video games in the US and that's why we go there.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see another consumer show pop up with lots of glitz and glam and cool stuff going on but that stuff gets in the way of getting down to business.
